Intake

The intake interview will take place at your home or online around the 32nd week of your pregnancy. During the intake interview, I will explain in detail what you can expect from me during the delivery and the first week of the postpartum period. Together we will create your care plan according to your needs and wishes.

Birthing assistance

Birthing assistance can occur during a home birth or in the hospital. As soon as the contractions start, I would like to stay informed. I would also like to know if you will be induced or if you will have a planned cesarean section.

Maternity care

During the maternity week I will come to your home to advise and assist you with the new challenges that you will face as new parents. I will provide respectful customized care to you and your baby, as well as breastfeeding support, advice and coaching for the development of your baby.

The basic package is 49 hours of maternity care if you plan to breastfeed and 45 hours if you decide for bottle feeding. Families who want fewer care hours can opt for this. The minimum care is 24 hours. This has been determined nationally by the National Indication Protocol for Maternity Care.

There is a personal contribution for every hour of maternity care. If you have additional health insurance, this may be reimbursed.

Delayed maternity care

This care can be offered if your baby had to stay longer in the hospital. The purpose of this care is to help the new family have a better transition from hospital to home. I advise you to contact your health insurer to obtain more information. If the costs are not reimbursed by your health insurance, you will have to pay out yourself. The rates that apply are determined by the Dutch healthcare authority NZa. You can always contact me for more information.
